Not to bash but a midly modded 5.0 with nothing but exhaust and intake will give a PI 4.6 a run for its money and even beat it, 5.0s were faster than npi 4.6 even though ford claimed they had the same power.

no this is cheap transportation lol its an 87 subaru justy 3 cyclinder 5 speed 10 dollors gives it a half tank lol paid 100 bucks for it put a 65 dollor headgasket on it and its been rolling ever since lol although it need a blower or turbo when the a/c is on lol

i didnt want to say anything either but i always said the 5.0 was faster then the non p.i. headed 4.6 but i like a 4.6 also lol but hey you got to work with what you got you know . probably turn this one into race car always loved the way this body looked as a race car but thats just me

I know its been along time since i updated this but it is alive and running and still getting worked on. The motor i got from my friend was no good so i have since redone it with a tfs stage 1 cam, iron gt-40 heads , gt-40 intake and some other small things. I will have more pics of it soon enough. I did run it at nmra race in maryland at mir
went a 12.90@107 with the stock rear suspension giving up and 3.55 gears. I have switched rear suspension to all upr since and is in the process of putting 4.10s in it with spool and axles last time i took it to local 1/8th mile track the carrier was done spinning 1 wheel

thanks means alot !! Its been well worth it. The black wheels are pro-stars done in black the front ones were given too me but had been sitting outside for a while and there dog kept peeing on one of the rims to the point it discolored so bad that no polish would fix so flat black looked good i thought.

It was alot of work but it was worth everybit. Racing again has been a blast!!!!! I hadnt had a car of my own in 6 years and this one pretty much fell in my lap. hopefully i can get it a bit faster i like to see a 8.00 in the 1/8th on motor before i spray it. I have a kit on it but with all the rear bushing being bad and the posi-unit being done. I just havent hit the kit to it yet but soon :laughing5:

I have a hard time believing this statement because theres plenty of youtube clips of both vehicles going at it, and I've seen 4.6 just pull up top. Nature of the beast, a short stroke 5.0L is going to give you that low end torque raw power feel, but the 4.6L is OHC engine and likes to be more of top end. To tell you the truth its really a drivers race but overall i've seen 4.6 pull up top.
