is it mechanical or electical? I just hooked up my autometer gauges yesterday. they only needed power and ground becuase they're mechanical. On a mechanical gauge, I tapped the blue/red wire on the white connector for power and the black wire on the white connector for ground. That hooked them up so that the backlights will turn on with the headlights.

its an electrical guage has some brass fittings, and on that a wire connects too (the one that screws into the intake...has the spot for a wire...i was hoping i could just tap into my stock guage instead of running wires...and it doesnt have any wires with it.

You can't use the stock sender/signal for that gauge. You'll have to use the sending unit and hardware that came with the gauge to make it work properly. Just do it right and use what came with the kit.

It will if you leave it attached. If you do that you will have to mount the new gauge sending unit in a different location.

Soooo you bought a gauge and you want to use the stock sender.... do you like pretty lights???

You should stick the after market gauge in the stock location because it is the most accurate. You can buy a new thermostat housing and put the stock gauge in there. $8

(Note in these pictures i put my ect sensor in the housing)

Oh man.. I cant wait to get my black interior installed!

NICE!

I got lucky, i found a guy parting out a 94 cobra, just like mine. Got his entire interior (airbags, seats etc) plus his entire a/c system (mine has been removed for years), plus various other crap I needed, all for $675 and an axle housing!
