sooooooo this chick ive been hangin out with, 16 years old, daddy baught her a 2010 camaro ss in automatic though :/... shes gonna let me drive it tomorrow and have some fun but theres a factory restrictor on it. now ive had a LOTTTT of people tell me that there is a button you can push that takes it off, and her father confirmed this, but refused to tell me where it was or what it looked like (cant blame him lol). SO do any of you know what this "mystery button" looks like or know where it is? right now the restrictor takes away power, and the engine will not go over 4000 rpms.

this is stupid. i barely feel (just from your attitude on here) that u are mature enuff mentally to handle a 94 v6. let alone a mach. now you get to drive a ss camaro and just female dog and moan cuz the actual owner (her dad) doesnt want you to floor his 30+k camaro, i honestly doubt she knows how to take off said mystery button, altho i never heard anything like that on them. but if i had to guess since i love to watch you young ppl fail since it is entertaining to me. it is prolly tied into the traction/ stability control buttons so if u shut them off im sure it will be fine. also whats up with everyone u know with daddys car are smashing them into curbs. oh well. have fun tearing up someone elses property :thumbsup:

it is probably very similar to Ford's MyKey which set's parental controls on the car, like maximum radio volume, limits speed, and so on.

^Your reading my mind. Fords unit is a special key that can be programed via computer from what I've read. Not sure about Chevy's version.
My daughter didn't get 200hp till she was 18. WTF? A SS Camaro is nothing for a novice driver to learn with...........

Seriously though, you're going to get yourself and others hurt. Theres no reason for you to be driving her car and on top of that, turning the restrictor off before hand.
