Okay so I went to Blacks Automotive to pick up the van that we traded even on for my 01 convertible v6 mustang here are some pics of the rarest Saleen I have ever seen! It's real.... here are some pics... :la:

Here is some info on the vehicle:

The Saleen XP8 is a performance sport utility vehicle based on the Ford Explorer created by Saleen during the years 1998-2001. There were three prototype models, based on the 1997 Explorer XLT, which when viewed closely, has distinct characteristics apart from the production models (rear hatch design, taillights, and integrated license plate into the rear bumper). The Saleen XP8 comes in two- or four-wheel-drive four-door configurations, packing either a 5.0-liter V-8, or a Saleen-developed supercharged 5.0-liter/286-horsepower V-8. According to the fine folks at black's less than 200 yes! 200 or less were produced Also due to some kind of issue wiyth smog and legality, when you bought the vicle it came with the supercharger in a box in the car and it had to be installed at the dealership :dontknow: I dont know about you guys but I want one :la: too bad this one is not for sale :sad4:

I can assure that is for real. The guy that imported my Mustang into Holland drives one of those Saleen Explorers too. It's seriously fast. Awesome car, and goodlooking too.

Black's was total hell when my g/f and I went to try and buy a Saleen. They changed the price and "actual" mileage of the car several times, changed the trade-in value of her Mazda three times, and were dicks when it came down to final numbers. Basically told us to take it or GTFO. So we left, and it's a damn good thing too. She's much happier with this Corvette than she would have been with that Saleen.

I hear so many horror stories about Blacks, I have bought 2 cars from them(92 LX hatch, and 01 Cobra) and have never had one negative experience with them. They even bought back my Cobra 2 yrs later for almost what i paid for it. Not defending them, but they have always done good by me. Maybe they have changed, idk.
