are you talking modulars? 302's? both?

Modulars - the block is good to 1000HP. big difference over the 302's.
so rotating kits that are affordable probably sell well. most ppl need or want to upgrade it eventually.
ported heads / good profile cams. maybe you could use some grinds that are already out there.
Aluminum blocks, bored with wet sleaves seem to be high perf right now on the modular shortblock. but that's pretty expensive.
The IM could use some work, and then onto the blower.
But seriously. Turbo is where it's at for power gains.
then your into stronger tranny, stronger axles/rear ends.
and the suspension so you can put it to the ground and launch straight.
A different angle would be to look at doing the 5.4
not as many other compaines doing it. More torque, better edge.
