I just had an epiphany.

One's car should be a reflection of one's tastes.
If it does not go as fast as the next person's, well that's ok too.

I've seen corvettes destroyed by little 6 banging imports.
I've seen the great V12s beaten by wimpy american V8s.

So for one to want a car based on styling, not performance?
Let em have it, besides, where the fuck are you gonna legally go flying down the highway at triple digits?
V8s are nice, V10s are sweet, a W16 would be amazing. But let's not hate on a V6.

That said, V6 guys, don't go barkin up the wrong tree either.

Most people don't mind a tastefully modded v6.
It's the modded one that revs on you that pisses people off.

Sorry if this is way out of left field, but god, people all over the net are having this endless whine fest.

V6 are just for chicks.
You can't have a penis if you don't drive a v8.

Little fact for you:

A little V6 mustang will still look like a mustang, and will still be a mustang.

Done with my rant.
May the catfights ensue.

its nothing but a good ripping yer older brother would give you meant in good humor. The 6'ers want the gt that makes fun of them, the gt's want a cobra, the cobras want a termi or roush/saleen, and those guys are considering a vette.... If you can't take something as bad as a noogie or titty-twister out of the blue for no reason then maybe you should not hang out with car people much. STay home and watch dr phil and the own network maybe would be better.

I saw a V6 SN95 last night on my way to Austin when bringing my girlfriend back home. He rode along the side of me for a good 20miles and he took off and I swear to god that thing was not stock. He took off like he was packin' 2 more cylinders under the hood, it was a v6 though, it had the v6 exhaust, v6 emblems, but it had bullitt wheels.
Needless to say, never doubt a v6

i couldnt agree with you more.

My friends always ask me why i put money in my cars appearance and not the motor. They call me a 'ricer' for having a car that 'looks faster than it really is'. I'm pretty sure since its MY car, i have the right to do whatever i want with it.

I'm 17 and i see no point in having a 350hp car because its serves me no purpose. I'm not here to street race or go to the track, so i'd rather put money in how my car looks/sounds so its more noticeable on the road. I could give two shits if the car next to me is faster. In then end, theres always someone with a faster car, and driving is not a competition unless you take it to the next level.

Personally all I want is a strong running car. Not looking to be the fastest car on the road. I can sure try to make it look sharp as hell though. But I will say that I've always believed that a car is a reflection of its owner.

I love my car :D

I agree with steven, I just want something strong and reliable. Quick, but not the fastest. Just fun :)

omg so great. I meant steven, as in the guy whose name is directly steven.

namely because I didn't know your name was also steven ;p

namely, used in the correct sense, as a pun ;p

The only thing I dont like about some folks with v6 is when they keep thinking its fast and try to race everything on the road. I pulled up into a gas station a while back parked next to a mustang looked like a cobra had all the badges, front bumper and wheels didnt pay no attention went to pump gas the guy looks at me funny. My car no badges but its a lil loud you can tell its a v8. So he's staring at me as he start his car at this point im like whats his problem. Car start sound shitty as hell has an exhaust but you can tell its a v6. He trys to peel out as he is leaving still staring at me but the tires bearly break loose. I could not help but start laughing. Laught all the way home.

I can't say much about the upper realm Porches, but even on the Bahn, I kill boxters with my little 5K car.

Around town? Well it depends on who is willing to drive like Frank Bullitt around those corners...I usually get that one too.

I got freaked out by a lambo, he was on my tail and all I saw were two heads in my rearview. LMFAO

Another thing I've been thinking about, is here in Germany I drive at cruising RPMs, more specifically RPMs I will be running at around 65 when I drop my gears in.
That puts me at about 103-109 range for normal driving. And I'm still getting passed by station wagons.

Now tell me where I can do that in the US?
I've driven to paris in about 3 hours. Would I have done that doin 60 Mph? no, and even the euro Semi's would pass me.

Point is, there is no need for top end in the us....which is really saddening having been around.

I'm going with the cayman S as a DD. test drove one and it fit my 6'6" height like a glove. I don't fit in many high end sports cars and I've always loved the Porsche inline-6. For a DD it gets the job done, my handling/power car is the Roush...

My car makes me happy. I don't spend my money on it to make you happy. I don't really give a rat's ass what anyone thinks of my car besides me. I don't street race. I don't have the money right now to have a race car on a trailer and another for a daily driver. Maybe I will again in the future. I have had over 20 Mustangs and this is not one of the fastest but it is comfortable, handles good, and is very dependable. Suits me just right for what I need at this time in my life. I just hate the green paint! It looks like a frog ;~))
