On my balancer the degrees are labled like this 20lllll10lllll0lllll10lllll20 . My current setting is 14 degrees to the right side of the 0 on the balancer. Is this correct? Is this what most refer to as ATDC and BTDC? thanks

My Afr's love the timing. If I bump it down I get backfires and if I bump it any further I get throttle hesitation, but am I timing on the correct side of the balancer.....? thanks

YES it is definitely worth it. I checked mine the other day, and it was at 10* ATDC, which is 20* from where it should be. After I set it to 10* it runs much, much better and it has gotten rid of a lot of the bogging during acceleration. Definitely freed up a few ponies in the process.

lol that was wayyyyy off. 10° BTDC is the stock setting, no wonder it was running crappy. People usually have no problems running 12°-14° timing with premium fuel.

Yes, you are on the correct side of the balancer. The side you are on is BTDC if it is on the right while looking at the front of your car. (driver's side)
