Top color

Is there a code somewhere to tell me what color top came on my convertible? There are a couple sketchy spots, so I'm looking at replacing the top in the near future. The current top is black, I don't know if that's original or if it's supposed to match the tan interior. I'm also not entirely sure which way I want to go with it anyway. Not like the wrong top will destroy the value of the car.

Medium Parchment was one of three interior colors in 1999 on GT models.
Convertible top Code Letters and corresponding colors were:
A - Black
M - Saddle
W - White

I also would suggest (like joemama did) that you research your VIN number. There are several easy to use VIN decoders online!

Saddle was an option for the convertible top color. It was letter code M.

Haven't had a chance to check the VIN yet. Wouldn't have expected it to be in there. But went to get an estimate on replacing the top and the guy told me it looked like it was probably the original top. I'll still look at the VIN though.
