Ok I bareley tightened my sensor and it cracked my lower intake manifold. Maybe it was jsut brittle after 189k? So what is the propper torque and sealent to use on this sensor to prevent this from happening on my oem replacement that's coming?
Tourqe for Temperature sending unit please?!

if you dont tighten it enough: water leaks out and you tighten it a little more...
if you over tighten it: shit breaks and you have to buy a new manifold. lol.
better to start soft opposed to crankin' on it...

thats what i told this girl last night.......
No plastic cross over. This is a 5.0 manifold not 4.6 BTW the proper torque is 8-18 foot pounds. So I should use some like water pump/thermostat rtv sealent instead of one layer of teflon tape? It only had 3 or 4 threads in when it cracked. It wasn't even close to being in as far as the factory one was. Odd.
