uh oh, i just broke something.

So, i was cruising the strip by the beach today, got it sideways in first, shifted into second and was contested with a loud BOOM sound coming from what sounds like the back of the car (still shifts fine). i did it again on another road and same shit, if i hit second gear hard it goes BOOM. its to late to do anything about it tonight i will probably go over the back end of the car tomorow, but in the meantime does anyone have any ideas on what it could be, or specific things i should be looking out for? i wanna get it fixed it the worse way as the michigan mustang meet is this weekend and i really wanna race . also, if im coasting down in the car at around 1500-1000rpms in any given gear it goes DU DU DU DU DU. sounds like the noise is coming from behind the transmission . Oh well time to tear down and build her up stronger. :coolsmiley:

LOL you must have no been present for all that drama. my name was petek, and people were pronouncing it P-TEK, (ie. FETZ, and txcobra) so i changed it to Pete K. and than i got that woppper of a custom title :boink:.

I was driving around hitting the gas a little hard already to see if my ujoints were shot but they seem okay, no play or anything in them, but i was already thinking / hoping it was my torque boxes. i will see tomorow.
