Just wanted to clear some things up. If you are going to use regular gas and are going to bypass the stock emissions stuff you will want to retain the charcoal canister. If you have it on a filter like I have when the gas vapors expand usually when car is off your garage will smell like gas since the vapors will flow out of the filter. Since I am going to run e85 and e85 does not smell offensive like gas I will not have this problem. You can also make a charcoal canister from the charcoal used in fish tanks which you can google and a lot of the Factory Five car guys are making and attach it to the end of vent line. Just in case I got you confused here is a good video of that explains what a charcoal canister does.

The amp panel is being push by the floor panel and the sides are pressure fitted to the floor panel and top of trunk. It was tight and exact when I made them but once the carpet went on it made them tighter and carpet won't let them slide.

So no bolts and all just pressure fitted? Or bolts each panel to each other? If no bolting then with the vibrations of driving, racing or the subs wouldnt it come lose?

The side panels can not move up or down. Only way they come off is by pulling rear part towards the center of trunk almost like opening a door. If I put anything like a screw, dowel, L bracket on that one corner just like putting your foot in front of a door's lower corner there's no way to open it. It just turns out that it was so tight that its hard to pry off therefore I haven't setup anything to lock that panel in place.

I ended up making a charcoal canister as I see many asking why does my garage smell like gas after they have done a fuel system. Besides the obvious with leaks or hose permeation where gas is slowing eating away at the rubber inside the braided hoses the other one is the charcoal canister. I made one out of a $10 sprinkler and charcoal from the pet store used in fish tanks.

The basic concept is to have the vent line coming from the tank to one end of the container and the other end has to be opened for fresh air. You can use a filter but I have seen many without a filter with a bunch of holes drilled out for fresh air intake so don't get hung up with finding a filter. Once you have bottle and charcoal you will need some sort of mesh to prevent the charcoal from dropping out form either end. I used the screen from a conical filter, you can use sink basket strainer. Good news is that the large sprinklers use 1/2 NPT threads so I was able to reuse my -8an to 1/2 npt fitting. If you are using rubber hoses then just get the proper npt size with a barb end. Unfortunately I forgot to snap a pic of the final product but you can get the idea by looking at the pics.

As I mentioned before with e85 it may not be noticeable but with regular gas it is unbearable. As a test I removed the canister and the fumes came right at me from the tank line however on the fresh air side I could smell anything.

Here is the sprinkler taken apart and cut up. If you are not using a filter you need to retain the top and drill out holes

Mess on top in order for charcoal not to go inside the filter, if you are not using a filter all you need is the mesh on bottom side plus drill out a lot of small holes on top but not to big for charcoal to get out. If you want big holes then mesh will be needed to prevent charcoals from coming out.

Took the car out to a car meet then parked it in garage with no gas smell at all after 2 days. Phase one complete, next up is redoing the whole front setup in order to get rid of the cowl hood. I will be making custom water lines, overflow tank, fill, intake pipe, intercooler, removing spacer etc... Heres one last pic of the sump.

Not sure how low I can go on the intake so I may have to fiberglass a hump like an M3 but for sure the pipe that is currently going over the supercharger will not be there since I hate it.

The fuel system is perfect. I do not trust any of the previous work that was done so I'm going to start from scratch. Don't plan on getting a new motor but will pull it out and rebuild it with new rings and bearings. The hood will not be a problem as I will not be reusing any of the stock cooling system which is the reason with hood clearance. Going to weld fittings in place of the stock coolant lines and run it like the MMR setup.

yea? whats the MMR set up? I'm not familiar with it...
Run both lines from intake-yblock-thermostat-upper radiator, lower radiator to engine block. You can remote mount the expansion tank. If you google mmr delete crossover it will pop up. There's another crossover delete from another shop but it's garbage.
