What block to build??????

I have a 95 Gt that I would like to start a new motor build. I would like to around 400rwhp. I will must likely be doing a turbo set up. What block should I use? I have been told a 302,331,or a 351w. Any of they will be built with all forge internals. Please help with this. I will be also using gt40p heads,work alittle with a nice cam.

do you want 400 RWHP with or w/ out the turbo?


Either way Id do a 351W based motor. If you want some serious power stroke out the 351 to a 408 and throw a turbo on it.

A stock block will survive 400rwhp. If you have the money for a boss block then I would look at that.

A completely stock 302 with a turbo kit will make 400. If you do decide to rebuild a stock block, don't invest in forged internals other than a set of nice forged pistons.

If all u want is 400 rwhp then just put a turbo kit on a stock engine...you can make that power all day and it will last a good while. definately dont go 351 unless you plan to make more power. Thats just a waste of money.
