Finally mad first lap around the block...So far so good. Have to get timing set correct instead of by ear, adjust suspension so it doesn't drag, (damn that lower support) and ride so rough. No leaks or check engine lights so far. We shall see after the next drive cycle.

Installed replacement door cups. I opted to go with the Daniel Carpenter product, which is a little less than 1/2 the price of the Ford OE units.

Happy with the results, but if I had to nit-pick: the DC are not quite molded to scale. The platform on the back that the switches screw into is 1/16” taller than OE. I know… doesn’t sound like much, but apparently the tolerance is very tight, especially with all those wires coming off it. So, it took a good bit of “encouragement” to get those suckers in there flush!

Still not satisfied with the tail end of the passenger side, but it seems to be in there solid, so…?!!image.jpgimage.jpg

I noticed the same thing. I’ve installed two sets and neither fit perfectly. They fit snug to the door but the shape isn’t perfect.

1A is usually pretty good. Super fast shipping too. They are right here in MA, my buddy works there. They used his Jeep in some of their YouTube vids.

We actually have a leather restoration expert coming out to repair the two front leather seats in Wednesday! This is our first big monetary expense with Opal and we are excited to see how it turns out. I will post some pics of the progress.

I'm curious to know how much a leather seat repair costs, I am looking at a gt roller with a tear on the drivers seat.
