What floor jack do you use?

I just got a killer jack from Harbor Freight...super low profile, but still holds around 2 tons. Its not the aluminum race jack, its bulkier...can't find it online, but its orange with a white handle...has like 28" of lift and goes down to about 3", I love it.

I have the same one, it's really nice for a lowered car.

+1 Except that the handle is getting really stiff, wouldn't mind if it was a bit lighter too. Good buy though.

a track car like yours would make good use of it.

Did you just drill into the concrete to anchor it? When I helped a friend install his scissor lift we actually anchored the bolts into the foundation like 16 inches when it was being poured. He knew the garage was going to be used as a shop so we planned ahead.

I would like to put one like yours in my next garage along with a wash bay for year round cleaning and hot water

all i can afford is the cheap $30 ones from walmart that lasts for like 4 months, it gets the job done atleast :dontknow:

Bob, no it sits on top of the pad.
has caster plates you pin to it and can move it around. very handy.

I have a craftsman 3 ton jack that I use just for the garage its not really low but I also have the Craftsman aluminum jack with the LED lights that I use for the track and that one is quite low.

I've went through 2 Craftsman jacks with little to no use and now on my 3rd. When this one takes a crap im done with Craftsman, other than hand tools. Only reason i bought the 3rd was because i thought it was the same model as the 2nd and planned on just switching them out. It wasnt and i needed a jack at the time so now im stuck with it and a $150 breaker bar that was my 2nd jack. Ironicly, someone stole the first one even though it was broke. Only reason i still had it was because i didnt have a way to get rid of it.

I got a cheapo one form Oreillys, cant remember the brand. It works fine but dear god it takes years to pump it all the way up.

I got a cheap jack that is sold at Advance Auto Parts! works great, takes 15-20 pumps to jack the car up high enough so I can get my stands under the car, but you get what you pay for! so far so good, have had it for over 5 years and got it free from my boss so no complaint's here...
