I am a little confused by the differences in the vortech lines. just varies the sound and output possibilities?

Yes, basically that's true. There are some differences like the V3 is "self lubricated", like how Prochargers operate, meaning you don't have to run an oil line to the headunit from the oil pan. For the S-Trim and Si-Trim they are similar but like you said there are some differences in the amount of sound they make due to the change in technology and the Si-Trim units make more power and IIRC run more efficiently.

Once you start looking at say the T-Trim vs the Si-Trim obviously the T-Trim is rated to make more and that applies as you go up in headunits.

I hope this is what you were looking for in response to your question.

I'm not sure if the V3 is listed as a "SQ" or it's only the V2 but I know the V3 is designed to be very quiet. I'm not sure how quiet it is compared to a V2 SQ but I think it might be quieter. I'm no expert though.

V1, V2, V3, SQ, Si, t-trim..... I really can't seem too find much info about the differences between them other then the T-trim is for high hp. Is there anything else special about it or needed with it? Which ones can I get with the quiet option? Can't seem to find any used for the most part is there any place specific anyone would recommend getting it from?

V1,v2,v3 that's the series. V1 was first of the v models Straight cut inpeler. Pretty noisy.. v2 came after the v1 different impeller design a lil quieter. V3 self contain unit came after the v2.. sq, si t trim are the model. Si is the smaller one t trim is the bigger one. Different horse power levels and efficiency..

Which one is good for you depends on what your goal is.. if you get the small one then you decide you want more power so you start to push it past its efficiency then you start making heat. But if you keep it with in its optimum range you should not have to worry about anything.. I have the v2 t trim. For the little time that I did run it. I was happy you can hear it sucking up the atmosphere but it wasn't annoying. Small wine. Nothing like the v1.. I use to have a video if it.. I'll see if I still have it..

Any idea what the approx. limits of the models are? For example is the sq good or 8 psi and up to 350hp? Are the sizes different? Thanks for taking the time will all these questions. I have been looking for answers but even their website doesn't seem to explain the difference.

With your HCI an s-trim will get you into block splitting territory.

It's hard to say. Vortech rates them at the stock level. You could get the sci it's the mid one. Can always be sent back for a T trim upgrade if you decide to go bigger..

Hopefully I just found the kit I will be buying and get my FI membership card. Guy bought it and never got it on the car. Comes with the power pipe option I wanted and only had the head unit out of the box, never installed.

ah ok good.... Like I said with how serious you are all the time I wasn't sure if I was screwing up. Yea been dreamin of it since we had the car new and I had a guy line up next to me in a fox with a Paxton on it(back in 94). Now I have a pic of the system up on an extra browser to check out from time too time. Just trying to line up all the little crap I need now, injectors, boost sensor, cam, ect... Any help locating those would be great...
