I was wondering what kind of hp and torque numbers I could get out of a 347 with trick flow track heat intake, afr 185s, and a TFS2 cam?

The auto is gonna take a good amount.

You will need a dyno tune done as well after the whole comb is put together to get the most power out of it

Do you have any of these items or is this just an idea??

For a daily driven car I would drive your 302 till it dies. Then I would rebuild it to be a 306..

If it is not driven everyday then I would look towards a stroker.

I have the intake and the stroker kit.

Well a 347 as a daily driver is not something I would do but...that's not to say you can't do it.

What is the compression?

Flat or dish piston?

I would do AFR 185's & a custom cam from Ed Curtis or Jay Allen.

im going to have to go with what compression youre going to have with it, and even then ya just cant be i have this, this and this; what numbers will it be, there still a lot of variables in what can affect numbers, and im going to agree with afr 185s, no experience with trick flow heads but ive heard lots of bad thing about the rotated valves in em

Whats wrong w/ a daily driven 347 ?

Jay Allen and Ed Curtis are really good cam guys. The cam in my car now is from Ed Curtis. Geat cams but cost over $300.

If you want a nice level 2 cam I have the one that came out of my block before the FTI cam, its a Crower 15512 would be a good cam for AFR 185's and a decent intake. Also have the spring upgrade for the heads that were matched w/ that cam.

There is nothing "wrong" with the 347 - he can definitley do it if he wants. I would just recommend the 306 because it is gonna last longer and it's going to be more driver friendly for everyday use.

The AFR heads come with .600 lift springs.

A 347 will last just as long and be every bit as friendly as a 306.

depends on whether you buy new or used AFR heads. My already upgraded springs did not have enough lift for the new cam I got which is slightly over .600

I dont know why you think a 347 "wont last as long". Any engine put together with a proper tune will last just as long as anything factory made. There is nothing about 306 that makes it more reliable or last longer then a 347

I have not owned a 347 but when talking to Rick Anderson about it (I was gonna do a stroker before I decided to sell my92 LX) he had said most 347 will only last 80,000 - 100,000 before they need a rebuild. That is one of the downfalls of stroking a small block 302 :dontknow:

I personally would not do a 347 daily driver. I think it is pushing the stock block a bit far for daily driving. I've had a few friends that have had problems with some 347 stroker kits and they do seem to have to be rebuild more often (they do alot of drag racing with them though).

I have Trickflow heads on my car and have not had a single problem with them. The TFS2 cam is a decent cam.

With that set up I would guess between 370 and 390 rwhp.
