definitely gears, no question. That or start working on the suspension but gears will really help your acceleration.

I'll join the band wagon, gears are the best bang for buck mod. It won't give you a "Holy $#!^" feeling swapping heads or something like that would do, but it gives a noticeable difference for a fraction of the cost of doing heads or a cam swap.

I lot of people say don't fear the gear but even 3.55s are a noticeable difference and a good street car. A lot has to do with preference though.

What, the speed cal??

Just get the correct trans gear with the rear gears.

Spend $15 on a speedo gear that will put your speedo off by 1-2mph

(You want the white one) 392-STE-17271-D

http://www.steeda.com/products/speedometer_recalibration_gears.php

OR

Spend $99 and get the speedometer perfect. :dontknow:

The only problem with running the white gear (I'm running it so I'm not trying to be an ass) is they sometimes can eat up the gear on the output shaft that it meshes to. To do it 100% correct you have to take off the rear trans housing and replace the drive gear as well. The speedcal lets you change the electronic signal, you can go from 4.10s to 3.73s to 3.55s without ever having to change that gear again.

Thousands of people have swapped for the white speedo gear and driven zillions of miles with no issue. While you're right, in a perfect world you'd swap the worm gear, I think it's ultimately unnecessary. (as do you since you're running it too  )
