i just ordered some saleen 18x9/10's for my 98 gt. my last 95 had 03 cobras with 275s and i always said, next time im goin 18's and wider in the rear! with that being said, will i have any issues running a mt 305-35r18 street radial 2? i have h&r ss springs, bilstien hd's, lca's, no quads, stock width rear axle, and cobra brakes. i know alot of people run 295 bfgs but, i want to go wide this time around. let me know what you think.

295 BFG look pretty wide man, i love mine cause they look so boss. I think 305s should work out alright but without me trying it i can't speak for sure. People do run 315s and sometimes 335s but also I've heard they sometimes have to mod the inner fender well.

I'm assuming the Saleens are replicas, so it depends on the backspacing of the wheel to be honest. Most aftermarket manufacturers are pretty good about realizing we will run large rubbers out the back so you should be fine with a 305. I've seen Nitto 305s mounted on 18" 03 Cobra replicas on SN95s before with no modifications required, so if the MTs aren't too far off in size, you're golden.

..that being said, you may hear a small amount of tire rub in aggressive cornering. I'm currently running a "European" wide 295 wich is comparable in size to a standard 305 and I do get a little rub. But if you're setting the car up for straight line duty then no worries.

I have had 305's Nitto 555R's on mine before and i would cut a groove into the tire from the lip of the quarterpanel. I recently replaced them with 295/30/18's and i have no problem with fitment, I do wish I went with a larger sidewall though. Also go check out Official Hawks Nest Cruise photos in the members rides section. I'm the spoilerless white GT with saleens and you can judge for yourself how the tires look.

this will be my daily driver actually. lol. i want to go as big and aggresive as i can. only problem is, will i be able to cripple my car if i do get caught out in the rain with drag radials? i love mt's but i hear alot of people running nittos. they have some new treads out now. you guys have had different tires and setups so, tell me what my best bet would be, even if you think i should just stick to a plain jane 295 bfg..lol

yes if its a DD get plain jane BFG's, I have Hankook Ventus Evo K112's, another member her has the new Nitto Invo's and he loves them. I love the Hankooks, they are of good quality, great ride, and a decent price of $850 for all 4 shipped to my door from discounttiredirect.com. I made a mistake by going with a 30 series sidewall in the rear and a 35 series sidewall in the front. Make sure you either get the same sidewall front to back or make the sidewall larger in the rear. I also wish I would have went a little wider with a 305
