i just got two 17x9 bullitts w/ the polished rim (for $100!!!) and was would like to know if my 245/45/r17 would fit on them.

also, i'm ordering two 17x10.5 dd bullitts--i don't want a 315, it's too meaty for me. what's the smallest i can fit on a 17x10.5? thanks.

i would be careful on where you buy your deep dished bullits.

i'm planning on buying 2 DD bullits just like you. ford used 2 different charcoal colors. the newer style is darker and the older ones are more brighter.

trying to find that matching color from the different companys that sell deep dish bullits might be hard to find.

just a heads up for ya

I would not run 245's on a 9 inch rim. They are narrow for that and you will have uneven treadwear as you are stretching the tire to fit.

I am going with 17x9 black bullets up front and running a 255/40ZR17 tire and 17x10.5 DD black bullet w/ a 315/35ZR17

it seems that 315/35/R17 are the most common tire size for 17x10.5 inch wheels. what are some others you can run besides those?

245's all the way around on my Machs. Will probaly switch to 265 or 275 when they need to be replaced.

i have 255/40/17's on 17x9's and 315/35/17's on the 17x10.5's. i like the 315's on the rear (looks mean) but im probably going to a 275 up front when its time to change.

The wheels are 17x8's (OEM size). I finally got some 275's for the rear and left the 245/45's up front. Feels like it throws the car off balance a little with 45's on front vs. 40's on back. Anyone else notice anything like that???

the number 40 and 45 is a percentage of the width of the tire. if you have a 315/35/17 your tire is 315mm wide, the side wall is 35% of that in hieght. the reason the numbers change is based on width... the 275/40 is equal to or close to the 245/45 in overall diameter/circumference/etc. the main difference in the two is width, of course ;)

here's a good tool for tire size calculation :)
