which is better

My 2 chamber flowmasters are just not loud enough. So I want some help deciding what will sound better. I already have bbk un-equal length shorties with a bbk o/r h-pipe, should I go with the pricey flowmaster single chambers or the slp resonator?

i heard the flowmaster single chambers and they are pretty dang loud but the sound bad as$. but i have never actualy heard the slp's.

i had flowmaster super 40s with bbk shortie headers and a off road h pipe with no cats and i did turn downs right behind the mufflers and i sounded great was to loud you could still talk but i was loud enough raise hell

I currently have IMCO racing mufflers, same as Flows. I have turn downs on it. It sounds pretty freaking good if I say so myself! I had side exit's on it 1st. It was a touch raspy! It just sounds 'Mustang Good' now though, I think.

Get the 10 Series of Flows, then dump it!!!

Oh, I have no cats, too. My front 2 were gutted with the back 2 just as straight pipe!

the single chambers with turndown have so much drone you cant even talk in the car...i also have the super40's on my car now but i have tailpipes.

Well if you want your ears to bleed... Try some turndowns first with what you have and then if not then SLPs are pretty freaking loud.

And I'm not some sissy who doesn't like loud noises, I work around operating jet engines for a living and I've seen what happens when idiots aren't careful about their hearing.

i've only heard slps on a 4.6....i wonder what they like on foxes shoudn't it be about the same?

chop it off after the muffler and it will get louder dont turn it down leave it straight back. it gets quieter when u turn it down, i dont like mine to be so loud, hell ive been pulled over on the highway at 50mph at 1500rpm for noisy exhaust but it was chopped right at the muffler like that.

where the exhaust pipe comes down from the headers and starts to bend underneath the car, go about a foot down the pipe and wack it right off there, it'll be loud then, might lose a little torque from the back pressure but it be damned if it aint loud
