I've finally joined the autocross fun and have learned a few things: 1] Miata's rule your face 2] What used to feel fast, never really was!! 3] mostly stock SN95's suck [go figure] Looks like I'll have to put my '95 back together sooner than later! I'll have pictures when they're available and videos when I upload them. Here are the final results and hey, I didn't finish last!! I did have a blast!! http://www.cenla-scca.org/results/2016/10-2/final.htm

[59.546] South course, run #1 This car is begging for a gear swap!! 2.73's have no place in autocross! Your run looked pretty good though. How fast did you go? I know what you mean about the gears. Go either 373s or 355s. My first event I had the 273s and they weren't great but when I went up to the 410s it's just a bit too much...so 373s it is. For me at least. It's just perfect enough for getting out of the hole but still having gear
Why, thank you sir  Tbh, I was too busy looking at the next corner to check. If I had to estimate I'd say 40-45 mph on the south course, not too terribly fast. yeah, I remember you saying that in your thread. I think 3.73's may be the hot ticket for autocross!
My first time out I came dead last out of the whole crowd and my second time out I managed to gain 1 spot over a stock Accord with the rear seat taken out. Still had more fun doing that than I have anything else. Maybe next year I can get another car together enough to go kill cones.
At least you got a little experience on the tarmac. Get that 95 ready! Don't loose the experience you've gained. You can also get the S197 out, I put some track pack wheels on my 05, some HAWK pads, and it held its own out there.
I was at FedEx Field yesterday for the 3rd. event of the year, I was working the event. I saw a old man in a s197 with pads and a Watts link take the C prepared class! They are very easy to get up to speed.
It’s official. I’ve FINALLY registered for an event FOUR damn years later!! January 31st is the day and I only need to have the car aligned in preparation. Well, and the fuel leak BUT I’m ready! RIP peace Space Ghost It’s time for the Unicorn to earn its keep.
