Won’t be racing this month, for sure. An unprecedented, yet avoidable, incident at work has rendered the ENTIRE FACILITY inoperable until we can restore three key pieces of equipment. Namingly the three cogeneration turbines that produce steam/electricity for the complex.

It’s bad-bad.
Sounds like money

So after a few years, I entered an event! I’m co-driving my buddies mental 97 Civic and I’ll report back after the event.

FTD was 46.6 and the faster guys were running 47s and 48s.

I managed a 49.638 in a car I’ve never driven after two years away

I’m content and had a blast

By the third pass, I was getting more comfortable. There were plenty of instances where I was not on throttle enough and that cost me. Video cut short due to phone overheating.

This pass was the first one that everything started clicking for me. I was finding more speed in areas and going deeper into the braking zones. However, at the end, they told me I had to rerun because apparently a cone was misplaced or something.

My rerun, was nearly identical in time, but I somehow either knocked it out out of gear or it popped out of gear in the section where it transitioned from one parking lot to the next. That inevitably cost me some time and this should have been a faster pass.

My last pass of the day was my hero pass. Ultimately the fastest, but I missed a pointer cone and was rewarded with a DNF. That’s just racing.

One of the most, if not "THE MOST" fun cars i have ever experienced was a built naturally aspirated 2valve 4cyl civic 2door sedan. The car was mostly gutted and lite which made up for late of engine grunt, but dang would that car hug the road. My driving experience did not put the car on its edge, but as a passenger while the owner subjected his experience on the back twisty roads....it was scary no doubt but the tires never let go and I was very thankful or the 5point harness. To this day i can still feel my brain sloshing from the gforces when braking

I’ll be back in the demented Civic and running in XB today. I took some time to take more pictures of the car for you guys. This thing really does rip.
