I've wanted one for a long time.

Whitey and I were talking about taking a regular cab (or extended) v6 step side manual and making it look like a lightning and throw in a 4v blown stroker or something of the like, that way it could be manual (pedal assembly and hole in the floor already) however, he just got a lightning instead haha ;p

They are great and I want another. I had a 99 and kept it for 3 years with the intention of buying the new improved 03 but life happened and I never got another. I still look for clean 04's from time to time although my Wife loves the Raptor so that might be the path on our next new car.

Cool. Very nice truck man. I love L's!
Like I said earlier its not uncommon even for a stock L to see up to 10#s with good air, you should be fine. Id still STRONGLY recommend NOT boosting into o/d!! Many, many lightning guys have thrown rods doing highway pulls into o/d.

I posted earlier the stock pulley sizes if you want to check if its still stock pulleys or not, if there is anything else I can help with I'm glad to help, I am a big fan of Lightnings. Here is another really good place to start reading up about your new truck. http://www.nloc.net/vbforum/faq-section-gen-2-trucks-check-here-first/

NICE...lightnings are awesome trucks. I would never trade a mustang for one...and they are completely un-practical in pretty much every sense, but I still love em :)
i totally disagree JB, they are practical in the way that they are a bad ass street truck!! i likey :)
