Window won't roll up or down. I can hear the motor working..I can move the window with my hands but I took the door panel off and it looks like it's all the way on the track like it's suppossed to be. :dunno: Could the motor be stripped? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The window is down alittle bit so I gotta get this figured out. Here's some pics of the window on the track...

This is how far the windows stuck down

i would be willing to bet it needs a new motor assembly. i wanna say that the track and motor is one piece so you buy all of it together. its been quite some time but i used to work for dodge and replaced a many of window motors.

that is not good news! a mechanic that my fiance called quoted her $300 if it's the motor :puke:
but I'm thinking that's what it is cause it's on track. but when you hit the button, it goes down like 1" but it won't go up any unless you grab the window and pull it up yourself but it won't stay all the way up.

if you are somewhat mechanically inclined, you could do it yourself with some 1/4 drive hand tools. its not hard. i dont know what the motor assembly cost by itself but 300 sounds pretty steep.

It seems like it would be somewhat easy to do. The motor and track are one piece. Problem is, there's only one spot big enough to get my hands in there and that spot isn't very big.

well apparently durangos are notorious for this. something to do with the magnetic thingy that grabs ahold of the window to push it up or down... :dunno:
