Well, I already took the mustang off of insurance for the winter. Better yet, I already have the supercharger off, all the piping, valve covers off, almost everything. I am installing Stage 2 non pi Crower blower cams, high lift valve springs, steel retainers, and comp adjustable cam gears. This should all be done within the next week or two. While the car is still sitting under a cover for the winter, I am doing a battery relocation to the trunk, and installing a snow performance stage 2 boost cooler kit (meth). Before the cams, I am expecting to be in the 410rwhp range. Now, I really dont know what I can expect from the meth, but I would imagine a pretty good gain. Do you guys think this is completely over doing it on my stock internal motor? Keep in mind it is through an auto as well. Also, I rarely drive the thing. It may see at most 5k miles a year. Just looking for feedback. thanks everyone

Everything sounds good to me except those adjustable cam gears :( Those are just rebadged Fidanza's and they suck ass!

I'd just grind down the key way on the stock gears and adjust that way. If you dont want to do that buy a set of Mod Camponents adj gears. They are not cheap but they are well made. The last thing you want is having all your hard work destroyed because of poorly designed adj cam gears.

Those adj. cam gears pictured above look NASTY!!! I never understood going from steel (what the factory supplies) to aluminum parts in the cam drivetrain. belt drive is a different story, and rockers are exepted.

I think you should be able to break 410RWHP pretty easily with your combo.

9-10psi should be fine for stock bottom. I wouldn't push to much more. Good Luck!

Did you buy the meth kit yet? Not sure if that would benefit you all that much because you have an intercooler and not running 20lbs of boost. Unless you want to run regular pump gas and use the methanol as your octane booster?

yeah, that was exactly my reasong. I want to only run 93 octane, and after talking to a rep from sp he said it would be like running 116 octane with the kit

Gotcha, i'm gonna use it for that reason also especially if i decide to move out of NJ. Many States don't have 93 octane for super and use 91. Plus i can only get intercooled with meth so its the only choice for me.
