Hey all, just wanted to get your collective opinion on an upgrade. I recently had a Vortech V3si installed on my 94 Cobra. I put down 387rwhp on the dyno. The tuner was saying, and I agree, that the h/c/i are what is holding it back. If the block has potential problems in the 450+ hp range, do you think it's worth it to upgrade to TW H/C/I? What would I be looking for added for horsepower addition? H/C/I installed and tuned with likely run me close to $4000.

You already have the GT40 gear, and I think there's a lot more in it. I had a 86 with a E7 headed motor, GT40 intake, basic bolt ons, and it was in the 410rwhp arena. One of my Fox drag race guys ran a GT40 347 stroked motor, lightly ported heads, basic bolt ons, S-Trim running around 12psi, and I think he was a little north of 500.

I know the cam in your setup is probably not optimal, Cobra cams IIRC are smaller than HO cams. What boost level are you at? The easy thing is to throw boost at it.
