Its a ford fairmont based chassis with a gt-40 iron head 351. The ONLY thing that makes that car special is low build numbers. Anyone who says they'd that THAT over the new 5.0 is a fool. Period. The cars were NOT built from ford to haul ball on the race track. They were built to make it easy for the those who WANTED to haul balls on the track to make the car capable of doing so. 351, oil cooler, powersteering cooler, rear seat delete, no radio, no a/c, manual v-6 interior....bolt on suspension parts. That about sum it up minus a few nit pick items? Again, low build numbers are the only reason that car is worth money. Can't wait to see the pics of it in the garage. I'll revoke my hate if the guy gets it and flogs the piss outta it.

Not to be a d:ck but I would say mostly 13's and slow is untrue for two of them in the garage. The 2000 Mustang Cobra R was said to do 12's and 0-60 in 4.4 seconds / Top Speed 175mph. The Ford GT : Top Speed: 205 mph 0-60 mph: 3.6 seconds / 0-100 mph: 7.8 seconds / 1/4 Mile: 11.6 sec @ 126.2 mph. Those two are not very slow to me or in the 13's.

I guess I'm a hypocrite of sorts...I'd kill to have a Hard Top vert cobra...only bc you can roll all the windows down with the top up...If i can figure a way to my GT do that, I will....even thought its an borderline full track car.

I assumed 2005 GT meant MUSTANG GT. The cobra r numbers count only if he runs them himself IMO.

pipes are getting dumped and the drop springs and adjustable struts are all going on at the time of the motor rebuild and supercharger install, so are the saleens. . .

even if my car wasn't a mint restored limited editition and looked like dog $h!t i still wouldn't put a shevy motor in it.

That's why I said my 95% R bc the only thing I don't have is the white color and the build # for an R. Other then that it's all 95R

One of the head honchos over at Ford took an orginial Shelby Cobra and modified the hell out of it its sick.
