Just got back from the dyno. Slightly disappointed but still okay, we pegged the stock MAF so we couldn't do much more with the a/f or timing. The motor is a 5.0 Stroker (8.9:1 Compression), HP292 Cams, and full intake mods, and o/r H-pipe, to dynomax side exits.

Not to bad, pretty stout for a stage 2. Stage 3 would really wake it up though lol

It would have made a bit more had the MAF not been pegged. But oh well, just needed it tuned since I ran at the track later in the day. We retarded the timing a few degrees due to the wacky A/F caused by pegging the MAF.

the a/f printout doesn't look like a pegged MAF to me, if it were indeed pegged your a/f would go super lean at the top end.

and how the hell would a MAF peg at ~280rwhp?

I've got a stock 97 gt MAF on my 4v and it made over 300rw

We had that issue with the extra timing. We tried to add more fuel and were at the max MAF counts at about 4500 so there was nothing more we could do so we backed everything down. You can verify that with Joe, he was the one tuning it.

Supposedly the cams, similar problem happened to my friends Saleen, these cams consume so much fuel on an n/a car that he pegged at around mid 280's. Regardless I don't care too much about the power numbers, I needed the tune for drag racing at barona later in the day.

You've got a blower lined up for that don't you?

It was the original plan, but sold it built a high compression block and am swapping it in at the end of the year. Then this block is being torn down, ordering high compression pistons and keeping it as a spare in case the new 14:1 CR block blows itself to bits.

e85 station literally at the end of my street. Nothing like 3.40/gal for high octane :)

the $0.45/gal government tax break on e85 is going away very soon, don't bet on that price for long term :(

Even if they do, it's still cheaper than 91

Car sounds good man.... I'm guessing you kept your compression low so you could do a blower?

Like I said above that was the original plan, I had a vortech lined up for it and decided to go the cheaper and more rewarding route of building a 350+rwhp N/A modular :)

Haha :p

Yup, as my dad always told me, if you're making more n/a horsepower per cubic inch you're doing something right. :)
