I don't have to deal with the restrictive intake... it's the M112 on top.:D (Roush actually under rated the cars at 315/345 back when they were sold new.)
I made 347/355 @ wheels. When I bought it, it made 301 rwhp. I tossed on a CAI, new filter, new plugs and a fresh (more aggressive) tune.

hmm, I guess that changes it up a lot since the PI intake alone is worth anywhere from 25-50 rwhp with a vortech setup on a npi car depending on boost.

Very impressive numbers for 6 psi.

If you happen to run across a PI setup for your car, all you need is a timing cover off a PI engine and it will bolt right up.. There are only a few other things that will have to be done but for the most part that is the only difference. I have done it.

well than that makes sense with an m112 setup. I was going to say, there is no way in hell you made that with non pi heads/cams/intake and 6psi lol

Well, it's not PI heads/cams. :)

From my understanding most of the gains are made from the cams and intake...the heads get a gain mostly because the bump in compression, not so much the flow.

Basically, when you boost a NPI with a pi intake or have a PD blower, it can make good power...not as much as a PI, but still solid.

My NPI would trap 115-116 mph...ive seen a lot of boosted PI 2vs with 400 rwhp that trap about that....my car was setup better but still.

yeah just swapping out that non pi manifold will do wonders...I was seeing 370rwhp through an AUTO with bone stock non pi heads/cams

guess well see..just got my taxes back..well half lol and its gonna be a pi set up at least..btw stanger seen that beautiful car in muscle mustangs and 5.0 stang if im not mistaken!

np lol i was flipping through it and was like..ive seen that picture somewhere.


but updating my thoughts.


im trying to track down a PI longblock that isnt being sold for an arm and leg. and looking at vortech v3 set ups and maybe an ON3 76mm..


but for now im gonna order an SCT tuner for now so i can optimize my air/fuel ratio and hopefully some better fuel mileage lol..gas prices are sucking DD'ing this thing right now..any reccomendations? a guy at work said Bama and there mixed reviews on them and brenspeed both..

97lsxgt -- i hear mixed things on both, I dont think you can go wrong either way. I mean that can just be your temporary tune until you go pi swap and blower than take it to the dyno for a real tune

yeah thats the plan..i went ahead and ordered one last night..waitin on it to come in..and figures when i start lookin for a pi longblock i cant find one lol..oh well
