Good stuff. I love my GP setup. With E85 you'll need 80# injectors and two pretty large pumps or his triple pump setup. Keep us updated on it all

Good to hear I can come and bother you when I have questions! haha I have some 95 pounders for it in the future.

Welcome Ethan! Nice to see your build on here!!

Looks like you've been making progress. Get the bugs worked out of your girl's Fox?

Hey! thanks, I am making slow progress haha. Considering I was going to try and run it this summer. I did, it runs like a champ. It still needs some tlc but I am confident it runs like it should.

what dyno shop are you going to?

and I'm on e-85 right now, too. kind of a pain in the ass if you ask me.

I wanted to go with RWR because that is where I got the v6 turbo tuned. But I am going with revolutions for now. I just got a bunch of kum and go's near me and I will have a tune for reg gas too.

lol I probably wouldn't either but I got a quote and they said add about an hour for the extra tune so it will end up being like 600. And my lovely woman got a bunch of our car friends together for my birthday in October to pitch in and so I got a tune for my bday.

Nice build. How come the only time you're sweating is when your girl is in the shop with you? What you two been up to?

Not the mustang but my girl's old car blew the timing belt and she bought a new focus so I get this one if I fix it. It is a fun little car and thought I would share. I hope it doesn't turn into a big project. But I bought a good rebuilt head with some port work, stock cams are going in. I am going to throw some exhaust on there and maybe a bigger turbo if I can't get the broken bolts out of the exhaust housing.

Well, she wasn't ready for the dyno. I got it on there and once it warmed up the temperatures were not accurate and could not tune. I got the p0118 code. So I need to mess with that, once that is fixed it should be good to drive around a little bit.

I got the temp codes gone and now there are no helpful codes left. The car will start and run well until it hits about 150 degrees and then it will die like I am using the key to turn it off. I know it keeps fuel pressure in the lines and doesn't look like the spark is getting cut. But once it is warm it will fire right and then run for about 30 seconds and kill itself. No cel's come on so that isn't any help.

I am confused why it just started doing this now..

Definitely, and thanks for the compliments! I am narrowing down on this gremlin I believe. So hopefully she will be running like a champ next summer.

As far as the talon, I got the head on and working on getting the timing belt done. This thing is a pain in the ass, what is up with belts being responsible for the mechanical timing of a motor and why have a motor bass backwards so there is no room to work... humans

Well fellas, I think I am going to slap a carb on it. I know it isn't optimal and blah blah. But it simplifies things. I have been chasing my tail around trying to get this car on the road for a year and a half now. I am getting burnt out on nothing working, and I am getting excited about having a unique carb setup on a mod motor. Plus, who see's a carb'd mod motor, not to mention a blow through setup with a 76mm.

It is final! ordered the ignition today and found a carb local for 70 bucks. I am sure I have the plumbing and fittings to make the fuel lines work and just need to find a regulator. I am finally excited about messing with the car again and have found new hope for it haha. Should be pretty fun to bring it to car shows since it is going to be kind of unique. I will get some pictures up once everything is on.
