So go pass the sniffer with your stock 302 and get the cert and go home and swap in the stroker. Ive seen it done on the fbody boards before but its a hassle. You just have to be VERY careful to not get in trouble to where they check you out.

Maybe you can get hold of this guy. http://www.linkedin.com/pub/matt-ames/10/a60/44b Near top of page he deals with emissions and near bottom of page you may notice he had some contact with the 95 Cobra R which is 351. Some R's have made it through cali. registration while other R owners gave up.

Check this http://www.hypertech.com/products-results.aspx for 1995 Cobra R 5.8 or 5.0 depending on which line you read and says "California Emissions".

Another consideration would be 1997 saleen s351 or
the R code s351

specs as they meet cali. emissions. Read posts by s351-r about halfway down page.

Yeah I've seen plenty of 347's pass. I just got to thinking about the 351 because it's just sitting. I guess I could just not stroke the 351 that should still be manageable to smog? My dilemma is I want both boost and cubes and my motor is getting worse and worse. So if I build my 351 or stroke a 302 I'm going to build it with some reverse domes and spend all that money getting it breath and be ready for a blower and still end up with a pig of a car with cubes and no power due to lack of compression for months until I can scrape together for a full vortech kit. :(

Well my step father/machinist/mechanic took a close look at the turd and he thinks the issue is in the head. So my current plan is to port my gt40p's throw a cam at her roller rockers and find a used aftermarket intake 24lb injectors 75mm throttle body and maybe a digital maf. Slap her back together and take her to AED for dyno time. Then start putting together the 351 for a blower later down the road.

Well I'm starting to get some interesting stuff in my oil catch can. It looks like a real small amount of water with the oil. No water on the dipstick yet. Anyway definitely time to get started amassing parts for h/c/i. I was initially thinking my issues were stemming from the bottom end but it's pretty clear it's top end related. Going to start porting my gt40p's on my next day off and will be buying valves roller rockers guide plates to start getting them back together. Then get a cam kit with lifters springs and possibly timing set or I'll use my Australian race set. Then if I can find a deal on a trick flow or eddy intake I'll snatch it up. If I don't find a deal on an intake I'll get an elbow for my gt40 explorer intake throw some 24 lb injectors in her and slap it together. I can do tb and maf after I make sure the top is sealed.

Never had it until now. It's enough to start making the oil milky. Since I've never experienced condensation in my catch can I dunno how far normal condensation would go toward making the oil milky.
