Im doing it bit by bit though. i don't have the $$ to just drop it in one lump sum. How much are you asking though?
Win said:I have come to a conclusion. There is no reason for me to stroke the stock block. I would hate to spend all that money and then something happen to it. If i can't save up enough for a Forged block. I'll just have it re honed and re ringed. Throw some E street heads on there and the TF intake i have and call it a day.
Win said:Yeah i did a lot of reaserach on a stock block with a stroker kit and just it seems that the bad outweigh the good with some 347 kits having oiling issues. Even though they claim they don't have them people report having it burn oil and not being such a nice DD. With the 331 i figured there is just no reason to go to all that trouble without upgrading the block. So that's that

dude, you are reading some OLD a*s info. My 347 uses a 331 piston... you gonna sit there and tell me that My car burns oil because its a 347?
you need to wake up. When running a stroked 302, the only reason to run a 331 is if you are in a CID limited race class, or if you want to make less power.
Addermk2 said:you are comparing apples to oranges though... choosing to go with an inferior engine jest because the OLD style 347 had problems.... thats just silly.
build a 347, run a short rod setup. It uses a 331 piston. You wont have any oil burning issues, and you will make more power, for the same amount of money
or just buy my engine..
