Tryin to make about 600 to the wheels. Im not trying to spend a whole ton of cash but Im willing to drop whats required. Any suggestions on a good build? I want it to be reliable and streetable. All I have is the block, its out of an old galaxy

What I meant was as inexpensive as possible, I didn't mean cheap. I will spend whats necessary. As far as the build, I'd like it to be all motor MAYBE some nitrous. I wanna keep it fuel injected. Yes it will see the road race track every now and then but mostly driven on the street.

If your gonna do a 351w build at least stroke it to a 393. Fairly simple and not terribly expensive really. No replacement for displacement as they say.

If you want 600HP on pump gas your gonna need something bigger than a 351. Your gonna need something AT LEAST a 408 with a lot of compression and meth to use pump gas.

Is it possible on the bottle then? I'd hate to change the engine geometry.

EDIT: ALMOST FORGOT. Im thinking of going the corn fed route with E85. Its cheaper and is the equivalent of 105 octane fuel.

Pre '74 blocks are gonna be the strongest you will find unless you go aftermarket I believe. I've heard of upwards of 600-700 on a 351w before you start to get to the danger zone, which would be one reason people choose to upgrade when building high horsepower stock block motors.
