My engine builder, is a very known man in the Pantera world...he builds 351's not only for himself but also for races in Europe and has people send in their Panteras for custom/rebuild.
The guy is so anal about things he does that he looked at my Stroker kit balancing numbers ( 4.3 grams) and laughed. He then showed me the book of all the engines he has done and the final balancing...none were over 0.5g
With that said, he looked at what i have and saifd thats pretty much accomplishable...
The only "better" additiona he would add would be a Self Learning Fuel system....but thats like $7K...not immediate investment for just yet :)

Lol stopped reading at "Pantera." Seriously? Those cars are still out there? Wow. Can't be a lot of them left... (and then I kept reading).

The undercarriage is done, ground+ seams welded+ SEM 2 coats flat + SEM 2 coats on the frame Glossy+ 3 coats of the Underbody rubberizing spray on the sheet metal...sub frame connectors are welded... the wheel wells are degreased and recoated with URS...
Now onto the engine bay and the interior....Upon removal of the airbox- the firewall insulation smelled like mouse piss...so ended up trashing that .
where can i grab a new one? Alternatives? i was thinking resin coat it and then Dynomat it...thoughts?

I wish I could get that deep in my restoration. A rotisserie would be BA to use. Your car will be beautiful when you get it all back together.

For the firewall sound damping if you want something really good check out second skins over kill or luxury liner. They are closed cell foam so they do not absorb water and do better then the jute anyway.

im running 1" hubcentric spacers in the rear. They are the bolt on type, however... I have 3 " Moroso studs in my axles, so I pressed the studs out of the spacers, and slipped the spacers over my 3" studs.

Thank you! with 1" in the back...how much more room do you have till the wheel well lip?
I was thinking of getting the 2" for the back and 1.5/1 for the front...of course thats thinking little too far ahead...but at least i can start looking for parts now.
Saw a kid dumping two sets of 2" and 1.5" for $25 on the Clist...

cant wait to see the progress, if I was you and building a stroker motor / 347, I would run a better set of heads, Trickflow or Afr Heads, a nice .600 lift comp cam or custom cam and a trickflow or holley intake port matched and 10 to 1 compression or 11 to 1 compression, then forget only 400-450 crankhp, it would be putting down 400-450rwhp n/a ;) :)
