Your heads and fuel injection intake will bolt right on without issues. I suggest you convert it to a roller cam setup while you're at it. That way youll have access to a broader range of cams designed for your application. The older-style flat tappet cams will work fine. They did for decades before roller lifters were thought of. The newer style roller stuff is better suited for higher rpms and simply lasts longer too.

For the cam i had planned on having a custom grind cam just for a turbo. Im debating a building a 302 or boring and stroking a 351 windsor to a 408 and turbo'n it. Whatever i decide to build will have forged bottom end, custom grind cam, afr heads (unsure on which ones) trickflow upper and lower intake 70mm tb, bigger injectors, and MAF, with the proper fuel upgrades and what not. just trying to decide on a motor i know i wanna make between 600-700 whp

hope you realize the cost involved of doing a 408 + a turbo then all the swap stuff for a 351, pretty big under taking

well a 408 with a turbo will have no issues getting to your goal. Most 302's with H/C/I and 10-12 PSI will put down anywhere from 450-high 400's. With a 408 busting 550 will be a walk in the park.

Woody is one super helpful dude that WON'T jerk you around to take your money. He will help you build what suits your desires NOT what the "general Internet consensus says" you should have.

With the right combo a turbo 331 should surpass the 500hp mark. Just remember that once you go over the 400-450 mark a stock block could let go at anytime. No way I'd think about building a 331 turbo and not doing an aftermarket block ie Boss or Dart, but if you do go aftermarket then there's no reason not to go with a 347.

they are stronger then the 302 blocks. I think the standard block is good for around 550-600 before you get into to many issues.

don't get that old block. not worth it. if your shooting for that power goal, then get a dart block as step one. otherwise you're throwing money away. a 302 based block can make 700hp with a turbo easily enough with the right parts.

I need yalls help. i wanna keep the car street legal it will b my daily driver and i wanna keep the fuel injection but im stuck between a 351 windsor w/ a turbo. or building a 30 as a 306 and turboing it i wanna make around 500+ whp i know with the 302 itd b a little harder but my plans for it would be a .40 over bore gt40 heads ported and polished, gt40 intake ported to match heads and polished, custom grind turbo cam, 70mm tb,bigger MAF, 60lb injectors, and 1.6 roller rockers with a 70mm single on3 performance turbo. or a turbonectis turbo with custom piping. With the 351 i would either do a .30 over bore or a .40 over bore, with decent ported heads (not sure what woudl b best), custom cam, and whatever else i need to keep the fuel injection. if ANYONE can help me out i would greatly appreciate it.
