Little update. Got the new hard lines for the rear. Upon taking them off ( or lack of wanting to come off) I decided to do the whole rear lines. Now I just need to order the other parts.

I don't know what I should do. Rebuild the entire rear end or buy one that's already done and bolt it right up

After much deliberation with my self and the wife I will be going with the fully pre built rear end. That is slated for spring time next year. For now getting the old rear end out along with the front suspension will be my drug.

My new acc carpet, sve floor mats and door pockets came via UPS. Now to drill out the 3 bolts that snapped in the floor pan and get a stronger t50 for the seat belts. Woooo!

Im not entirely sure what caused the pinion gear to hit the carrier like that, I guess it could be bad bearings. Either way it goes, I just helped a friend do a gear set up in a rear that had the same problems as yours, of course we did a new set of gears, but we set it all up and its working fine. It has 3500 miles or so on it now.

Anyway, keep up the good work man. Put some pictures of the carpet install up here.

Sounds good! I looked up the remaining parts to rebuild the entire rear end but it will cost just shy of the fully built rear end. I will be putting in the carpet this next couple of days. I already have it out floor cleaned and the bolts taken out of the floor pans. I will post pics of it as it sits and through the rest of the process.

Tore out the carpet.. got the passenger rocker seat belt off. Went for the trans tunnel and snapped the torx in half. So I said f that and moved on. After 3 hours and 4 drill bits and an easy out later I got the 3 rear bolts out of the floor pan. Today I went to menards and got a impact t50. Came home tried the trans tunnel bolt again.... it twisted. Looked like I'm cutting the carpet to slip around then when I install it. Here's some pics. I'll have more soon.

Good. Lord. On that torx bit. I assume you tried PB Blaster or equivalent on those seat belt bolts first?

I will be removing the rear axle and gas tank this sunday. I'll be sure to post some pics of the blood filled action!

Unfortunately I'm one of those high school/ college kids with a 94 Cobra, but I've been in love with the sn95 since I was 10 years old. Can't wait to see what she looks like when shes all done, looks great with those headlights and rims.

I can't wait either. It would be nice to be able to even drive her. My experience is 9 out of 10 "highschool" kids with these cars actually care and love them. What color combo is she? Anything done to her?

Let's just say.....my 64 1/2 was better to work on than this thing. Too many bolts are breaking off lol.

For some reason the passenger lower to the differential would budge. But the front on the lower came out no problem.

I was going to rebuild it.. but on second thought the fully rebuilt one ready to go in sounds much better now that I see the pile that I'm dealing with.

Black on Saddle, I've been trying to fix everything before I get into big mods, but as of right now its got 3.73's, a CAI, equal length shorties, offroad h, dynomax ultraflows, Set of staggered XXR's with some NT555s, MGW short throw, aluminum driveshaft, and a stage 2 clutch.

But I drove a friends boosted car and I REALLY have the itch for a little boost :)
