Oh wow, yeah you were kidding, perhaps a small support brace coming off of the intercooler?
Something like that maybe. I'm probably going to try and heat and reshape the bumper first

Brakes primered up and tomorrow I'll lay down the paint and clear. I realized I've got a bunch of left over black from the wheels. So I'm going to lay down a coat or 2 of black, apply the decals, paint red and remove the decals before clear and then should be a much more permanent solution

Eibach sportlines showed up today. Got the front ones on and realized they include spacers for a reason. I scored these used on ebay so I have to make my own. Won't be a big deal I'll knock it out tomorrow at work.

Brake project also coming along pretty good too. I have 1 insert to install and roll pin in place. Stainless brake lines are also installed and ready to go as well.

I had a friend going to mount and balance my tires but he's been busy. Tomorrow I'm going to drop my 2 rear tires off at a local shop and have em done. He can mess with the fronts when he has time to do so.

Very cool! That paint came out great.
Thank you. I'm mostly satisfied with it. I had an issue or two so I had to re shoot the base but overall I'm happy and it's much better than a rattle can job. That 2k clear coat just really makes it pop

Timing cover cleaned up, prepped and painted wrinkle black. This VHT stuff isn't too bad. Sometimes it's hard to get a perfect wrinkle but it's always held up decently for me

Wife is out of town and my daughter was kind enough to spend some time in the garage with me. Got 2 more cylinders done. I swear they get worse the closer you get to the firewall lol.

I had a thought I may be able to have them all done tomorrow. I didn't get as many as I wanted today so idk if it'll get done this weekend or not

Also I'd like to point out if I haven't Lucas oil assembly lube is fantastic for helping those pesky keepers stick to the screwdriver. Although I still dropped them quite a few times.

Got a little wheel and tire set up preview. I had to take one rear wheel back to the tire shop because the mounted it incorrectly. They were super cool about it and hand it fixed pretty quickly. I did discover I'll be hammering the tail pipe on each side for tire clearance though. They touch pretty good. Might even have to mess with the hanger or clamp I'm not sure yet. Main focus is still the cam install the suspension and brake stuff is pretty minor work

Looking good! I have the same rims plan on getting them repainted soon and have the new tires waiting for them. What size tires did you go with for the rear?

It's official they're all done! Now the fun part begins.

Took the time today to also remove the rest of the tensioners. I'll clean those up and get them set. Also this weekend I'll probably work on getting the timing cover seal changed and some of the stuff bolted back on it ready for install.

Another thing I might try and accomplish is some cleaning around the shop and engine bay

So I'm having some issues with this maybe it's just me over thinking. I can stick a .011 feeler in there 0 issues rotate the cam and everything it doesn't even move the gauge at all. I even went to .017 and still the same. Any of you guys had this issue installing cams?

Well I broke the secondary chain tensioner on the driver side. So I had to order a new one. Installing these cams with all the sprockets on sucks. I got the driver side done though.

Also got my brembo brakes bolted up and installed for good. New stainless lines also fit great. Finished up my front suspension with my eibach pro kit and castor camber plates as well. Had a hell of a time getting them on. Had to play the adjust the spacers game several times to get the hood closed.

Went to bleed the brakes and I'm having issues there. I may need to bleed the master as well I'm not sure. Pedal right to the floor as expected but I couldn't get the fluid to move

What’s your process for bleeding the brakes?

I learned from wilwood that you’re supposed to leave the master cylinder cap off, open the bleeders, push the pedal slowly to the floor and hold it. Then close the bleeders and release the pedal then do it again. You’ll want to do both calipers at the same time until you get fluid out of them. Typically it’s a two person job, unless you find a way to hold the pedal down.
