Got a 97 Cobra, w/ BBK o/r x-pipe, chokemasters (which I hate), I think a Mac cai elbow (fenderwell) and a SCT w/ custom tune. I ordered a JLT cai and I know it will be an improvement over the Mac. I can get a new FRPP 90mm maf (nib) for a good price will this improve my rwhp, I am at 284 and 285rwtq? Would I need biger injectors to go with the maf. I also have BBK udp to install and MSD coils and wires left over from my 2v. Thanks guys.

Im not too sure the new MAF will help you right now with the little mods you have. Hafta wait till someone else chimes in.. Hell ive never heard of anyone changing theres unless going FI. So no you dont need bigger injectors..

The u/d pulleys.. i hope they are not piggyback style.. if so send them back and get non piggyback

Um what wires are you putting on? FRPP 9mm i hope, they are the best.

not too sure on the msd coils.

Otherwise congrats! hahaha yea um flowmasters do not sound good unless they are matched up with an H pipe. haha sorry

Long tubes seem to be the power maker on mod motors, esp 4 valves, long tubes seem to what helps along with other bolt ons to help make or break the 300rwhp burrior esp n/a

Next I am going with Kooks, Kooks X-pipe and Magnaflows, I have heard mixed reviews about the imrc delete plated. I am probably going to go with them; any input on them would appreciate

if you go with longtubes and the imrc deletes.. your going to need a tune. so get an XCAL2 or 3. And on the tune they can turn ur CEL light off food good cuz of the stupid o2 sensors haha.

umm do the imrc deletes.. its gunna take a little low end away. So make your next mod gears(4.10s or 4.30s or u could go lower if ur circuit racing), and the gears will make up for it.

I installed the MSD coils on my car, and it did nothing to improve performance. I was told by my tuner that LT's, O/R X-pipe, CAI, and IRMC deletes will get me right at or just over 300rwhp

I don't think it's worth the money, and time spent deleting the irmc's. The msd coil packs SUCK. There's no need for a bolt on car to need anything more than stock in the ignition area. A good set of fresh frpp 9mm wires couldn't hurt though. I have to agree about the piggyback style pulleys. If they are PB style try to send them back and get the non PB.

im sorry but ide agree with the msd coils on our cars.. plus msd isnt really the best with our cars either..

and after thinking about it, i forgot an critical role to over 300RWHP... Short runner intake... without that... good luck hitting 300... really it shouldnt happen without a short runner... but imrc delete, LTs and a nice tune will get you in the ballpark range.. but the short runner is what will get u over the top

I read somewhere that both the b and c heads respond very well to a port and polish
