Good luck with that. .yEaH, TFS kit is about 3k advertised 410hp no supporting mods.
You have never seen a tensioner go bad...... its a free mod
The D3V
A timing chain tensioner?
Good luck with that. .

OP did you make a choice?
Both are pathetically slow in stock form and both need H/C/I swaps to get over 300rwhp.
Its been proven, go browse modularfords once in a while, great tech forum.
That kit is at least 3400 you will need to upgrade fuel supply. . It's rated @380 or 390hp I believe. If I remember right tfs rates at the flywheel..

Yep, thats with bar heads and generic cams that TFS gets you. If we move the money figure out of the equation you can push over 400 no problem with supporting mods. Heads/cams/intake, LT's, pullies, tune. I can see it being close to 420-450hp crank.
Stock vs. stock it should be a drivers race. I raced a later fox body with my 97 and I was able to pull him just a little bit. The mods were very similar (CAI, and minor exhaust work). I would still get the 2V because of the way it sounds, the 5.0 sounds good, but that 2V though. OP my advise is to get the vert, it's a great looking car.
