a/c delete and smog pump

anybody have a write up on the a/c and smog pump delete with pics and step by step to do i really wanna get that done this
week thanks...

paul ino its stupid but im trying to lose as much as weight as possible cuz the damn car is just to heavy

Unless you're racing NMRA/NHRA, there's no point. It's a streetcar, not a racecar.

Paul is right the 50 pounds are not going to make diffrence get alluminum heads and a tubular k member and you will loose way more weight

Removing the A/C smog won't lose you 50 pounds either. Even if it did, that's not gonna even be half a tenth in a 1/4 mile run.

lol, I can totally understand where Paul is coming from. Living in AZ is not easy with out cool air. Even in states with mild climate such as California, AC still comes in useful quite a bit.

to the original poster, if the light car is what you are after, sell Mustang and get S2000. That mod saves around 700 lbs or so.

s2000 ? rather get a 82 notch and gut everything out and throw a 351w with full suspension and roll cage or probally throw a ls1 in it lol
im jk about the ls1 part.... well maybe not =]

do you use your ac ever? i think thats the deciding factor on wether this is a good mod or not. If you dont and are content to roll with the windows down then by all means, im a big advocate of getting free speed no matter how minimal in the form of weight removal as long as it is something that you dont feel will impede driving the way you enjoy. Removing weight off the nose of the car without spending money is not stupid even remotely.

Ive spent more money on my AC system than hotrod parts on my 94.

Texas is unreal hot.
