Hello,

I have a friend who got a GT 1997, he want to add a Kenne Bell, is it a better choice for him to keep is original engine or replace it by a 99-04 ?

Here his mods :

Superchips
Gear differential 3.73
Differential Eaton Detroit TrueTrac 31 splines
Moser 31 splines
SubFrames Connectors Kenny Brown
Ford Racing Aluminum Driveshaft
H-pipe off-road
Muffler Flowmaster
Cold Air Intake
Slicks 26.5/8/15
BestTime: 1.850 / 8.829 / 13.928 @ 97.322

Anyone as already install a KB on a stock 4.6 GT 1997 ?

If he has the money he can go with a PI motor from 99-04 and it will make more power...

It will still make good power on the 97

thats a damn good 60 foot /...I cant even cut a 2.0.

*Dreams of slicks*
It takes some good tires and plenty of pratice to cut great 60 ft's.

Automatics a bit differant...haha..theres not too much I can do..

Feathering doesnt tend to work well with the auto since the ecu is always preparing that next shift and it could shift way before you want it to.

good 60 with automatic is all about the setup I thought
