Someone who is used to driving a little mazda is going to get in that s/c Saleen, gas it for the first time from a stand still, back end is going to go sideways, driver is going to overcorrect and wreck.

You couldn't be any farther from the truth. If she is able to race my 400hp Mustang and whoop @ss on other cars, and ride fast as fvck on my bike, she is more than capable of handling this car.

And she really only likes the look of Saleens. Stock GT's and Cobras don't fit her bill. I can't argue with her on that.

It's a much better DD than my car. Stock gears, stock cams, blower on low boost, it will be just fine lol.

We have someone coming tomorrow night to look at the Mazda, and if it doesn't sell we're trading it in at the dealer on Saturday (her birthday) and getting the Saleen. I will def post pics :)

What it comes down to is if she has the skills to tame a car like that, and how practical its going to because it looks like that is going to be her only car. IMO, people who buy modded mustangs should have a daily driver. If not they are just kicking themselves in arse. It's all fun and dandy for the first couple months, but wait until reality sets in and you start rationing gas, being a 2 seater etc etc.

Everything that everyone says is being contradicted....

Maybe because some of the stuff people are saying is irrelevant? I asked "Is this a decent deal?" I didn't ask for people's opinions on whether or not my girlfriend could handle the car herself.

"The first time she gets on it she will crash."

Nope, fortunately it was only paint that was chipped and cracking, so the owner had the front repainted.

Is her Mazda paid off? I would try to sell it on craigslist and such for a higher price. i'm sure the blue book on a 07 Mazda is higher than $8500... And how much are you selling the bike for? Are you getting turbocharged innovation to build you a kit?
