Aluminum Driveshaft Question

I would like to get one for my 94 gt but can't even seem to find one made anymore anyone have any hints where to find one?

I swear I have looked there and everywhere and for some reason saw they only went up to 93. Then this mornin flippin through my jegs there it is.....

To the body for the most part. Although someone made one that mounts to the trans crossmember, which I thought was ingenious! But the price kept me to the old design...

Well, it's designed to not catapult the car if the front u-joint lets go. Or send the driveshaft through the floorboard and your legs/lower torso.

It must be mounted a few inches behind the front u-joint for leaglity for the racing sanction bodies.

it prevents stuff like this. If it breaks back by the tranny with no safety loop the shaft will start to flop around under the car in the tranny tunnel at least till it goes through it.

wow, i think i'd poop in my pants if i was going that fast and that happened.

the loop i have (FRPP) mounts under the seat through the floor boards.

wish they had a pic or vid of the carnage afterwards as at that speed/rpm it had to be pretty nasty. If you have not seen it happen though it can send parts up through the floor and into the passenger compartment. With a safety loop if it breaks I am sure it would not be making a happy sound under the car but it keeps the shaft from getting too far out of alignment.
