Any advice on what gear is good on boosted car

Looking for advice on what size gear I should go with. Or if I should leave the stock 3.27 alone. Car makes 438 at wheels at 11psi. 315 rear tires

3.73 , 3.90 and 4.10s are used on centri and roots style superchargers in most cases and turbo cars are more around 3.31, 3.55 and 3.73s.... The more power the less gear you need, where your at now 3.73s would be a great all around gear and one of the most comminly used ratios out there.

I'd just leave the 3.27 in.... Unless its an auto... R you running turbo or SC

Just for a ref. I know a local guy running 1200+ hp in a single turbo sn95 that is street driven and its deep into the 9s at around 140+mph in the 1/4 and he is running a 3.31 rear gear. With a 3.27 you will never take full advantage of the 400ish hp your making either turbo or supercharged. Considering your numbera your probably on a stock motor and your at the limit with boost so your going to run a different gear or work on suspention. That is if your worried about e.t/mph

isnt this like the 3d gear thread we have this week? anyways the answer is simple 4.10 or 4.30 for your car, you will NOT run out of gear you will NOT redline in 5th on the freeway. If your feeling a bit skittish then do the 4.10 youll feel good about your life after trust me.

I run mine Every day up and down the highway with 4.10s at about 2300rpm with the 27.7 tall tire and 2600ish with the 25.6" tall 315s

And no i don't boost every day, i wish i was but sadly no...lol
