Did some research on it today,and you're pretty much spot on with the way you understand and described it monkey. The RTR panel is awesome lookin imo. I know the previous ones were made of some type of metal and would rust. They fixed that and the ones being made now are made of some type of abs plastic.
Awesome, that's what she had heard so we were a bit leery. Her car is the show car (obviously) mine is just the old man grandpa cruiser lol
Because the new cars have a panhard bar from the factory that centers the axle. the axle travels in an arch with the 3 link and panhard bar design. when you lower it, you are shifting the arch, and therefore moving the axle.
that's at least how I understand it.
Yea man her car is really nice looking. Im going for the low,show car look soon. So far i do know my color combo of ruby red body with vintage gold wheels. Under the hood will be a dark red/black&white. In vintage american flag hydro dip parts/panels.
She has a build thread on here, so you can see some of the hydro dip stuff we have done
I haven't updated it in a while. Actually she is about to arrive, and we are going to do the BBK throttle body tonight!

You do your own dipping or have it done?!?

We had a friend who did it for a living so I went and he let me do it as long as I paid for materials. He has since sold all the equipment. We did the radiator cover but it didn't stick too well. We are probably just going to get a new one and paint it white and add the stripes to it.
I will say, neither of us really noticed much difference from the throttle body, but I imagine it helps overall. It's now got basically everything bolt-on wise besides ported intakes.
And read your manual before you run out and buy fuel filters and throw away the receipt. Apparently she doesn't have one, it's built into the pump
my buddy media blasts or glass bead (not sure what type) blasts the covers so the dip process will actually bod to it. hes found that out threw trial and error. can you link me to her thread on here?
just under 24lbs...not to bad for a 19inch rim.Those look neat! Are they light??
UPDATE::
Called the body shop on what time to pick up my car today. Bc yesteray they said they were getting it all back together. Well turns out that after the got it together someone chipped the paint. needless to say i was pretty pissed. i mean i understand accidents happen. but the part that pisses my off is noone has called to tell me this. i had to call them to find out. So what they said now is ill have it by the end of the week.
