better late than never as they say!

got that right!! Im ordering some stuff for it this week.
Wheels/tires
Lowering springs
RTR Deck lid panel
Tint..

Whats your advice on lowering springs? Im looking at the RTR springs. Until i go the route i REALLY want to next year. Bagged.
Buddy mentioned to me that if its lowered on springs that i should get a panhard bar also bc it messes with the axle. 1st ive ever hear of that with just springs..whats your opinion?

When you put springs on, your axle will shift to the drivers side (if I remember correctly) and the panhard bar corrects this, by being adjustable you re-center the axle under the car.

My car is basically stock besides lower control arm relocation brackets. However, we put the SVE springs on my girlfriends 2013. It rides just like factory but looks much better now.

Let me know how you like that decklid panel. She has been interested in it for a while.

Here's a pic for reference, not the most recent shot of it. If you notice her wheel sticking out a bit I should clarify, this is after correcting the axle, however we put either 1 or 1.5 inch spacers and now it's about 1/4" out on either side.

Maybe I missed something but I don't see how lowering with springs in the rear shifts the axle to the left.

Your not changing mounting points of the control arms which holds the rear end in place. Your not changing where the spring perches are.

You are simply putting in a spring that doesn't hold the body as high.

Now I could see it changing the angle of the rear end up and down but that's it.

I'm not arguing that it doesn't but just merely looking for actual data or reasoning as to why it would do this.

Because the new cars have a panhard bar from the factory that centers the axle. the axle travels in an arch with the 3 link and panhard bar design. when you lower it, you are shifting the arch, and therefore moving the axle.

that's at least how I understand it.

Did some research on it today, and you're pretty much spot on with the way you understand and described it monkey. The RTR panel is awesome lookin imo. I know the previous ones were made of some type of metal and would rust. They fixed that and the ones being made now are made of some type of abs plastic.

Aaaahhhhhh..... That would make sense. I didn't realize the newer Stangs came with a phb from the factory.

Carry on as if I wasn't here and I'll just slip back into the shadows and lurk some more..... :)

She has a build thread on here, so you can see some of the hydro dip stuff we have done :)

I haven't updated it in a while. Actually she is about to arrive, and we are going to do the BBK throttle body tonight!

We had a friend who did it for a living so I went and he let me do it as long as I paid for materials. He has since sold all the equipment. We did the radiator cover but it didn't stick too well. We are probably just going to get a new one and paint it white and add the stripes to it.

I will say, neither of us really noticed much difference from the throttle body, but I imagine it helps overall. It's now got basically everything bolt-on wise besides ported intakes.

And read your manual before you run out and buy fuel filters and throw away the receipt. Apparently she doesn't have one, it's built into the pump

The covers can paint fine, if they haven't been armor-alled to death, like we did hers on a regular basis. All that oil soaks in and just makes it no bueno for the primer and all lol.

Here is her build thread, most of the pics aren't working, so I'll have to figure that out :(

Well turns out that after the got it together someone chipped the paint. needless to say i was pretty pissed. i mean i understand accidents happen. but the part that pisses my off is noone has called to tell me this. i had to call them to find out. So what they said now is ill have it by the end of the week.
