i found a deal on some bbk long tubes. they would be going on a 302 with ported gt40p heads, crane springs, e cam, 1.7 rockers, edelbrock performer 5.0 intake. the problem is that they are 1 7/8 tubing and are supposely custom made to match up with ported victor jrs. how bad will it hurt my power over the smaller tubing? i plan on building my 351 next year but i want my stock headers gone for this year.

That would be such a waste of money.

1. WAAAY to big for a small block 302

2. They are designed for heads you don't even use.

Im not sure these would even work with p heads.i hear the gt40 p's use different headers than the regular gt40s bc of the spark plug position

i know the regular bbk long tubes will clear p heads. i was going to check these first.

bolt pattern on the flange for the victor heads is more then likely different and they won't bolt up to your current heads. 1 7/8" are very large, and you don't need anything that big. hell my current motor is making close to 750 rwhp and i have 1 3/4" shorties. whats that tell you
