Best way to remove the nipple off our Headlights ?

duffy, can you explain that? im replacing my headlights and will have to re align them... you way sounds much more accurate than "wingin' it."

i didnt understand the process...

Chris you can also align it up against a Garage. I did mine inside my garage, but you can just as easily do it on a garage or wall just make sure your car is level.

thats what i did this first go around... ... turned out okay... but if there is a better way to do it... im all for trying it!

Use a torch. Melt them off. Will be smoother when finished than if you cut or grind them, so less sanding/polishing!

A lightsaber would work too, but good luck finding one of THOSE for a reasonable price these days...

I don't think you could regulate the temperature around the area enough to not cause a odd shaped melted spot.

A friend of mine used a dremel and cutoff wheel to take the nibs off his headlights and then sanded the rest of the surface and it came out great. No pics though... I'll be doing mine pretty soon and I'll get some pics.
