and im trying to figure it out. the guy put a custom tune on it and loaded it onto my car but im trying to datalog using my laptop and was wondering if anyone knew how to do it?

i got the USB cable and all hooked up, the OBDII cable plugged in and i turned the key to on. then i opened up Live Link and it says like "OPEN DEVICE FAILED" so i say ok then ok again and then i input my cars computer code in and it opens up a box that shows all the information that i want to use. so i do a few click marks and then i press okay. then the little gauges come up and the graph and then i start the car up after assigning the gauges to the information i want to view... then i press Start Datalogging and nothing happens. it says again "OPEN DEVICE FAILED"... idk?

can anyone help??

Sorry, can't help at this point. Instead of buying a T/A, I bought a used Xcal2 to up the base timing and just haven't had the time to sit down and get it going, but your ahead of me with getting a tune for your stang already. Local mustang shop wants 500 to dynotune my stang using the Xcal2 that I bought :(. I searched and found some places that will do mail-order tunes, so I'm probably going to go that route. One place wants a datalog sent the other place says that they don't need the data.

Have you tried posting or searching the error on SCT's forum?

I am wanting to say I remember reading about folks with Vista were kind of hit and miss. Not sure... Email Don and ask him. or email the place you bought it from. I think it is gonna be an OS issue. That's why I asked cause i kind of thought you had Vista.

Hopefully they have something for you now. In October they didn't, my ex-wifes laptop wouldn't log for me, and I was pissed bcause it's waay faster than my POS windows XP laptop.

Mine works...I did everything you said and then when the little gauges are up you can right click on them and select what you want it to display
