Built rear ends?

I was wondering if any company sold already built rears, sans the brakes. So basically everything, diff, gears of choice, axles, tubes, etc. I'm having a hard time finding an 8.8 in the junk yard, and I would be buying it to tear it down and replace everything.

Any thoughts? Any sellers that aren't out of their minds on price? Thanks for the help guys!

I wasn't shooting for stock, was looking for something beefed up. I like to overdo it. Never know what powerplant I might build for her next :)

Might throw boost at this one once I get it as fast as possible. All the suspension work will benefit any powerplant that's in here. And a built rear end will also be beneficial.

And who knows what the future holds :)

On boost I'd put it around 400 horse probably. Meh, I might scale it back to 350 or so. I would want a rear capable of handling 400+ though. I lover do it.

Help me out verm :)

I don't have the tools to set the backlash properly, etc. so I would be paying labor to get it done. I was just thinking it'd be easier to order something where I could drop my whole rear and then just raise this one back in, put my brakes on and my wheels and tires and go. (fill with fluid of course)

I've been running an 03 Cobra diff with moser 31 spline axles. A lot cheaper than buying an Auburn diff for example and still a nice upgrade from stock.

Going with an 8.8, tubes welded, 31 splined axles and girdle does alot. A f-150 t-lok or an eaton unit as onyx specified will handle your ride suuuuperbly. It wont break the bank neither.

I try to find one from an f-150. Junk yards around here the rears are usually stripped out of f-150's and mustangs immeditately. I actually got my exhaust off a cobra, someone pulled them off to get the rear end out and just left them on the ground lol.

Lol Javi, that would be a total mother to ship!

I haven't quite decided yet on what I'm willing to spend though. In the $1000 range though I'm sure.
